Acorn, allegedly, is a cat, although there is a strong case to be made for Acorn being a cryptid. He spends his days creeping in the dark and eyeing his human Vi suspiciously. Unfortunately, he's been feeling unwell, and in early September, he went into respiratory distress, went to the emergency vet, and was diagnosed with congestive heart failure; most cats live only a year with this diagnosis.
Vi is an educator and activist, whose wages reflect these necessary positions (they don't make a lot is what I'm saying), but as any good pet owner would, they are committed to keeping Acorn as happy and healthy as possible while they navigate this devastating diagnosis. In order to treat him at the emergency vet, they paid $7,000 out of pocket - but this isn't money they really have to spare. Anything you can contribute to helping this adorable cat goblin and his family is appreciated; all funds will be dedicated to Acorn's veterinary care.
