Hello everyone,

I’m a single mother currently enrolled in nursing school. I recently moved with my children for school and to better their surroundings. Becoming a nurse is not just my dream — it is my way to provide a stable future for my children and give back to others in need.

Balancing school, parenting, and finances has been incredibly challenging. Despite working and budgeting as much as possible, I’m facing a school balance that I simply cannot afford to pay.

I currently owe $1,343.50, and if I don’t pay it soon, I won’t be allowed to continue my nursing program.

I even applied for WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) assistance and was denied because I already receive student loans — which still aren’t enough to cover everything.

I’ve come too far to give up now, and I don’t want to let my children down. They look up to me. They have watched me stay up all night studying, go to school all day, and still try to be the best mother I can be. I want to complete nursing school so I can give them stability and a brighter future — and also be able to help people as a nurse in my community.
