Hi! I’ve never done a Gofundme before, so bear with me. I’m a single mom who is just trying to make it. I know that we’re all struggling extra right now, however, I find myself in a bit of a pickle.

Last fall, I decided to go on the “budget plan” with AEP, because I was extremely concerned I wouldn’t be able to keep the electric on all winter since our duplex uses baseboard heat (yikes!!!). What I didn’t quite realize is that on the 1 year “anniversary” of being on the plan, the entire overage would be due. Once I did realize that, it was literally impossible to pay any more than the current amount due because that alone has been $400 every month. Suffice it to say I now owe $1287.00, coming due this September. (I’m asking for slightly more to offset Gofundme’s fees)

This is very embarrassing to ask for help this way…I’ve had some struggles the last few years but since 2022 I’ve been managing to claw my way back up, having my own place to live, a decent job, my kids at home with me, all while maintaining my recovery. I don’t qualify for any of the assistance programs, because I make “too much” yet it’s all I can do to keep everything paid every month. I just don’t have options to obtain the money I need by September so I figured I’d try this. If you’d like a proof photo, I’m more than happy to oblige.
