Donate to Keep a Family Stable After Surgery

Hi everyone,

I never imagined I’d be in a position to ask for help like this, but here we are. Over a week ago, I broke my foot. I was hospitalized for a couple of days initially and at first, the doctors said that surgery would likely not be necessary. Well, unfortunately at a follow up visit last week, the orthopedic surgeon determined that surgery would be required. I had surgery on Friday (5/1) and have been told I’ll be off work for at least a month and a half. Unfortunately, that time off means a sudden and significant loss of income for our family—and with bills still coming in and a nearly 2-year-old daughter to care for, we’re in a tough spot.

We’re currently unsure if I’ll qualify for short-term disability pay, and even if it comes through, it won’t be enough to cover everything. Between medical expenses, household bills, and the everyday essentials our daughter needs, we’re asking for a little help to get through this unexpected hardship.
