Hi, my name is KB and I'm a 33-year-old trans non-binary music teacher. I've been socially transitioning since around 2020, but it wasn't until last year that I took steps to physically transition, beginning HRT. I'm seeking top surgery because it will greatly improve my life and help me live to the fullest.

Although insurance covers some of the cost, quite a large portion of the cost is out-of-pocket. There are also pre-op and post-op expenses that I want to prepare for. Any amount left over will be donated to T4T nonprofits.

I didn't "choose" to be trans but I have chosen to live my life authentically, and to let other know who I really am. And I couldn't be happier about that. Gender-affirming care saves lives.
