Kaylee’s Car Accident Fund

Hi, my name is Kaylee! I am 19 and a sophomore at IU in Bloomington. Over Thanksgiving break when I was leaving college I was involved in a car accident on I-69N. I was very lucky and only suffered minor injuries, but unfortunately my car was totaled.

I had paid my car off before going to college so that I would not have a car payment while in school. With my car being totaled, I purchased the cheapest reliable vehicle that I could find. After applying the money I receive from insurance for my totaled car, I still owe about $2,500 towards my new vehicle.

The timing of this accident is very unfortunate because I am preparing to have my 2nd hip surgery in January. I had a hip surgery a couple years ago and now need to have a major surgery with a specialist in Chicago. This surgery will have an extensive recovery and I will be out of work for at least 8-12 weeks.

If you find yourself in the position that you are able and willing to help contribute to raising the $2,500 I need to pay the rest of my new vehicle amount I would be so thankful. Any amount helps and is very appreciated. My goal is to pay this off before my surgery. Thank you!
