In the beginning of September, I was having excruciating pain that radiated from the left side of my lower back all the way down to my foot. I also realized my leg was heavy and had numbness on the top of my foot. I went to the ER, and that's when they realized I had a herniated disc where a piece of my disc broke off and was sticking and cutting off blood flow into my nerve that controls/tells your foot to move up and down, explaining the numbness. Because of that, I was sent to a neurosurgeon where he recommended surgery before the numbness became permanent. I had the surgery, and everything seemed to be going fine until a month ago. I have had setbacks, to say the least, and this whole journey has kept me out of work for the past 2+ months with no return until Christmas. Due to my profession in healthcare and always being on my feet, lifting, and bending, my work cannot accommodate me to come back at this point.

If you know our family, we are a two-income household that's gone down to one, with two little kids and, as of late, one car. So this has definitely taken a toll on us. If you know me, you know I hate to ask for help, and I must be pretty desperate. I also know it's the holidays coming up, so anything you could give to help us out with rent, bills, food, gas would be appreciated more than you know.
