Hi, thank you for visiting. This is to help support cancer treatment for Katherine Reed.

This summer, Katherine learned that she had a growth on her kidney and needed to have surgery to remove and identify the growth. Our worst fears were confirmed with the pathology report; she was diagnosed with leiomyosarcoma (LMS), a rare and aggressive cancer.

While only at the beginning of her cancer journey, Katherine has already encountered numerous blocks to receiving care and has not yet received a treatment plan or prognosis. While Katherine does have medical insurance, we foresee the need to consult with specialists in LMS, which will require travel and out-of-pocket expenses. Additionally, while her husband is able to take FMLA, he has nearly exhausted his kin care benefit and would end up taking leave without pay. As he is the sole income, that would be financially devastating.

We are asking for any support to help create a discretionary fund to aid in treatment. Again, thank you for considering this need.
