This beautiful lady, Karen Thomson, has been my bestie since 2nd grade. Karen has polycystic kidney disease, a hereditary condition, that she inherited from her Mom, and her Mom from her Mom. Karen's life these past 4 years has been challenging, as she endures dialysis 3 days a week for four hours at a time. We are thrilled to announce that after being on the kidney transplant list for almost 4 years now, Karen is scheduled to receive a new kidney from a living kidney donor. Karen will be needing to stay in the Portland area for over 2 months for her surgery and recovery. She will be needing help to cover her accommodations, extensive medical bills, and lost wages during this time. Please consider helping her.
