My name is Mark Gibson, and I work with a wonderful woman named Kait Donnelly. I have worked with Kait for about 9 years. Kait is an incredible person - an amazing wife, a doting mother of a two-year-old, and a fantastic lawyer. About six months after the birth of her first child in August 2023 (a beautiful daughter), in March 2024, Kait was diagnosed with Stage Four colon cancer. After that diagnosis, the cancer spread to her liver. She has been waging that battle ever since.
Kait still goes to work and works the best she can. She is undergoing chemotherapy and is now taking part in her second clinical trial at KU Medical Center. She is fighting every day, but it is hard. Based upon her diagnosis, she is looking for other medical opinions and options and has requested consults at some of the US's preeminent cancer research centers such as MD Anderson, the Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins Medical Center, and Sloan-Kettering.
All the while she is doing this, she has to manage her own home with her husband and take care of their baby.
All of this takes money and they could obviously use all the help they can get for extra medical bills and expenses with these clinical trials and travel costs they will incur for these consults.
Kait is loved at her work and we are all hoping for a miracle in her recovery. Thanks for listening and helping out Kait any way you can.
