Kade Michelle
March 18, at 1:26pm Kade decided to quickly, and very early, make her way into the world. She joined Tyler, Ramona, Tayah, and Jackson 13 weeks early!
On the 29th of April Miss Kade was airlifted to Minneapolis to Children’s Minnesota for some complications that she needed a specialist for that North Dakota does not have. She had not passed many eye exams. She is far enough in the stages of ROP (retinopathy of prematurity) which if progresses too far, could lead to blindness which is why she is under watch for progression or regression.
On the 21st of May, Kade had made enough improvements to be airlifted back to Bismarck to be monitored in the NICU.
On the 9th of June, Kade had an event where she needed some help from her wonderful nurses to get her oxygen and heart rate stabilized which meant longer in the NICU. She also had an eye exam to follow up on her ROP and those results were not what we expected. She was airlifted back to Minnesota on June 10th. She is back with her peds specialist and is under watch for the next couple weeks again, most likely ending in surgery at some point.
The family has had to make several trips to Minnesota to be with Kade, and will be having many more in the future. We are asking most importantly for prayers, but to also help defer some of their medical and travel cost that they will be undergoing. Your thoughts and generosity are greatly appreciated ❤️
