Kanab Animal Assistance Program is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides financial assistance to owners of domestic animals as well as community cats in our local area (Kane County and Fredonia, AZ).

Kitten season has begun - for nonprofit rescues it's one of the busiest and most critical times of the years. Kitten season effects community cats and those outdoor cats living in our neighborhoods by placing a strain on resources, increased injuries and contributing to the cycle of overpopulation. Mother cats struggle to find enough food and safe shelter to raise their kittens and kittens born outside are at higher risk of illness, injury or predation. In addition, without intervention, kittens born this season will continue the cycle.

Kanab Animal Assistance Program (KAAP) supports Trap-Neuter-Return as it is one of the most effect ways to prevent unwanted litters. We also understand the stress of having to choose between paying your bills and helping an animal. For too many families and concerned citizens in Kane County and Fredonia, this heartbreaking choice is their reality. That is why our mission is to making veterinary care accessible to as many people as we possibly can who would like to help community cats needing medical services or spay/neutering services as well as family pets.
