Aloha,

This past month has been a challenge!

On Oct. 8th Justis had an unfortunate accident and was flown to the Straub Medical Center on Oahu. He is being treated at the burn unit for second and third degree electrical burns. The burn to his right hand is the most significant and requires surgery. Even after several follow up procedures he continues to wait for a skin graft procedure. He is healing very well but full recovery will take time. They are very hopeful his hand function will fully return and we are so fortunate to still have him with us. At this moment we do not know how long he will be healing on Oahu or what the total medical cost will be.

Justis will be unable to work for quite some time; he is our main childcare provider and amazing cook while I work 50+ hours a week. Justis also used any spare time he was not caring for the children to work side jobs. During this time, our roles are shifting, and we are asking for assistance from family and friends. Anything and everything helps.
