Hello all! I’m Juniper Ballew, a proud citizen of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Nation, and I am going into my senior year at Federal Hocking High School. At Fed Hock we do Senior Projects that push students to spend 100 hours on something. Whether it be a skill, craft, or research, seniors are encouraged to choose something meaningful and interesting to them. For my senior project I would like to build my very own Fancy Shawl regalia so I can dance at Pow Wows. I am planning on making a good amount of my pieces by hand with guidance from many wonderful people; however, beads, fabrics, ribbon, and other materials are not cheap.
