Update: Hi All, Wanted to share an update from Lisa that miss Juniper had an advanced surgical repair for a complete cruciate ligament rupture and medial meniscus tear on 12/3. The surgeon felt it was perfect timing for repair. She is home and doing well. Lisa and Juniper are so incredibly thankful for your support and well wishes . Thank you all so much ! Juniper is an adorable and joyful 6 month old lab puppy adopted from Oregon Dog Rescue . She and her amazing family could use our help.

Sadly , she tore her ACL just after getting adopted at the age of 8 weeks old. One day she was in her own backyard exploring and there was a sudden yelp and lameness. Although insured , unfortunately Juniper missed the waiting period for coverage by just a few days and this injury will not be covered. Juniper is deeply loved by her adoptive family Lisa ( Mom) and Mabel ( daughter ) as well as her furry older lab sister , Rosie . They’ve had her under constant veterinary specialty care and rehabilitation care in hopes of not having to have surgical intervention while also allowing her time to grow enough for TPLO surgery if needed. Rehab and rest has not been enough. She has a significant limp , pain and has been very restricted in activity except for her rehab which is super hard on a goofy puppy! Good news is that she has now grown enough to have her leg repaired. However, this comes at a huge cost to her family who have already spent approximately $5,000 on diagnosis and rehab. Going forward her Surgical Estimate is $7978..00- $8712.00. This doesn’t include the cost of her rehab post surgery . With a high chance that her other knee will need intervention at some point in the future ( hopefully not but statistically about 75% need other knee done.) The required deposit is $7978.91. Surgery date is this coming Wednesday 12/3/25. Her surgery is being done by Jessica Dahlberg, DVM at Bridgetown Veterinary Specialty here in Portland.

Her family is deeply committed to Junioer and getting her on her way to recovery so she can go on to enjoy a normal happy life. I’m organizing this on their behalf, although they didn’t want to ask for help and have secured credit . It’s a big load to carry and one that feels overwhelming . Anyone that knows Lisa would probably share what a gentle souls she is , how much she much she loves and cares for her pets and what a huge heart she has for others. Always the one offering help and support . I know that others would like to now help her in time of need to ease some of this financial strain so with her permission , we’ve created this fundraiser.
