Hello my Name is Julio Robles and I'm a Puppeteer. And I'm called a puppeteer because I work with puppets.

Puppetry has been a passion of mine since I first saw a little green frog sing a song about rainbows in a swamp. It was further inspired by seeing how my favortie heroes in a halfshell worked behind the scenes

As I get older one of my dreams is to pass my gift and passion to others to bring a class together in Honor of my former Teacher Micheal Earl.

As my colleague Adam Kreutinger once said and lived his life saying "puppetry is for everyone"

Puppetry can be a tool for many to express them selves and I want to help them reach it.

My classes will not only be for children but for Adults.

In my class students will learn the basics of tv puppetry as well as eye focus how to use and arm Rod style muppet puppet and many other forms of puppetry used on sesame street and the Muppet show of old

I know this may seem like alot, this cost covers the needs for classes as well as all equipment and practice puppets needed for students

Julio is a puppeteer based out of New England performing for over 20 years. A former student of Michael Earl, the original man behind Snuffleupagus and Forgetful Jones on Sesame Street! This is his second time teaching puppetry for Avenue Q. He has been featured in TV, movies, and stage around the country. He currently spends a great deal of time working on his YouTube page called ScrapsTV.

In puppetry 101, participants will learn the proper technique of hand and rod puppetry. Professional puppeteers know how to make these characters appear as living, breathing beings with their own thoughts, desires, and motivations. After learning the basics (breathing, lip-synch, focus, and body position), participants will also be able to bring their own characters to life too. Their hands will start to have minds of their own!

This is an ideal class for actors, comedians, die-hard Muppet fans, dancers, animators, or anyone interested in learning puppetry.
