Donate to Juan Ortega's Cancer Recovery Journey

My name is Alex Ortega, and I am a State Trooper in Rosenberg, TX. I’ve been with the Department for six years. Normally, I don’t ask for help, but I’m reaching out today on behalf of my father, Juan Ortega, who has been bravely battling Stage 3 Colon Cancer. He was diagnosed in December and underwent surgery to remove two feet of his large intestine. As he continues his chemotherapy, he has informed me that he needs additional support to secure a vital stem cell therapy, which is a crucial next step in his recovery. Unfortunately, this treatment isn’t covered by his insurance, and the financial burden has been overwhelming.

My siblings and I have been doing everything we can, assisting with medical costs and accompanying him to treatments. But now, we humbly ask for your generosity to help cover the costs of this life-saving therapy. Your contributions, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference in his battle against cancer.

We kindly ask that this request remain private, as my father has been keeping his condition from extended family, especially to avoid worrying his mother. He’s a proud man, what can I say.
