Hello, my name is Jordan Hawkins and on June 14th, I faced the hardest day of my life. On the way to get food around 10:30 pm, my sister and I hit a deer less than 1 mile for our house;in Longwood nc. I got out to look at the damage and heard someone yelling at us. We were getting back into the vehicle and just wanted get the car back home. As I was making a u-turn multiple shots were fired through the passenger window where my sister Taylor was sitting. I was struck in the head which caused me to have a seizure & wreck the car into a ditch.

This led to me having surgery to remove two bullets from my head—one being lodged in my skull causing bone to push towards my brain and the other grazed the side of head. They were able to successfully remove the bullets and clean out all fragments and broken bone pieces. With God's will and power keeping me alive with no complications or health damage defects from the gunshot or surgery, I was able to make it out of this alive.. it is now 4 days later and I am leaving the hospital alive. With no suspect to blame yet. Due to this horrible incident not only will I be out of work for a while,We are navigating any resources to help with the medical bills coming our way and the journey of physical, emotional and physiological healing ahead.
