John has been a music teacher at Lodi Unified School District for the last 6 years and a worship leader at Oasis Ministries for the last 10 years. Tragically, on Christmas Day, 12/25/2024, he suffered a stroke resulting in paralysis of his left side. He was in the ICU for over 10 days and is now in the process of recovery.

His journey back to full health will require active physical therapy for 6 to 12 months, during which time his income will be reduced dramatically, more than 75%, so this GoFundMe effort is to try to help him stabilize financially so that he can focus on recovery.
