Running the 2025 Berlin Marathon for Homes For Our Troops ‍

Hi everyone!

My name is Johanna Rogers, and in September 2025, I’ll be running the Berlin Marathon—not just for the thrill of the race, but for a cause that’s close to my heart: Homes For Our Troops (HFOT).

HFOT is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building specially adapted custom homes for severely injured post-9/11 veterans, enabling them to rebuild their lives. These brave men and women have sacrificed so much in service to our country, and it’s our turn to give back by helping provide them with the independence and dignity they deserve.

When I’m not working as a nurse in the operating room, you can usually find me lacing up my sneakers and running through the streets of Boston. Running has always been a source of strength, clarity, and joy for me—and this year, I want to channel that energy into something bigger than myself.

My goal is to raise $3500 for HFOT before I cross the finish line in Berlin. Every donation—no matter the size—brings us one step closer to building a home for a hero.
