Hi, my name is Magdalena Politano, and I’m the proud mom of two boys—Michael (19) and Joey (7). My youngest, Joey, was born with Holt-Oram Syndrome, a rare genetic condition that affects his upper limbs and heart. Joey is a bright, sensitive, and funny little boy who has faced more in his seven years than most of us do in a lifetime.

We are now preparing for a critical surgery to improve the function of both his arms and hands — something that will directly impact his independence, confidence, and ability to keep up with everyday tasks at school and home. This surgery is necessary, but the costs are significant.

What we’re raising funds for:

I’m a single mom who fought very hard for her son during a high-conflict custody battle that lasted over three years. While the custody matter is now resolved, the legal fees from that chapter of our lives remain, and they’ve added a heavy financial burden on top of the medical costs ahead.

I’ve done everything I can to stay afloat, working full-time and prioritizing my children. But I can’t do this alone.
