Our son, Jimmie Dixon Jr. just had major surgery to bypass the femoral artery in his leg. He has had a wound on the bottom of his foot that hasn’t healed for almost two years because of lack of blood flow. We refer to it as his “cancer leg”. Nine years ago he had a 10-inch cancerous tumor removed from his sciatic nerve on that leg.

Because he has neurofibromatosis, the eight and a half hour surgery was trickier than normal. But through multiple surgeries, Jimmie has always kept going.

He loves children and loves his work for the Wayzata school system.
