We are reaching out on behalf of our dear friend James Makara, who is currently facing an unexpected and overwhelming medical emergency. Recently, Jim was diagnosed with a tick borne disease called Babesiosis, which has resulted in hospitalization and continued extensive medical treatments.

As you can imagine, the financial burden is growing rapidly. Despite having insurance, the out-of-pocket costs—including deductibles, medications, specialist visits, transportation, and time off work—are adding up fast.

Jim is one of the most kind-hearted and generous people we know. He has always been there for others, and now it’s our turn to support him in a time of real need.
