With the start of 2025 (and going back to Xmas Eve), I've been having health issues one on top of the other, ranging from Crohn's flare-ups and blockage (strictures and more) to upper respiratory infections (RSV, MPHV, Flu) to double pulmonary embolism to now pneumonia.

So it's been running back and forth to emergency rooms at UCLA Santa Monica, hospitalizations at Keck USC and a ton of appointments and infusions at Keck USC.

Yes, it's a bit Jobian.

And while I have insurance, there are the combinations of large out of pocket expenses and the continued denials by Optum Rx (boo, they bite) despite appeals for pain medicines to Librex sensors and more. Plus, I'm on compounded medicines that insurance doesn't cover, but have to be paid out of pocket too. Medicines for medical issues based on other medical diagnoses and more, but were still rejected so ended up paying out of pocket or just always have to pay for out of pocket.

There are other costs that are piling up related to health, such as days missed at work or the costs of getting there.
