On September 17th at 1:26 am Jennifer entered this world suddenly, at 3 weeks premature. She weighed just over 3 Lbs but was a fighter. She was breathing on her own and after a few tests eating to help her gain the weight she desperately needed. Over the next few weeks the doctors and nurses at Oishei Children's hospital noticed some concerning issues. Jenny has a fairly large hole between the bottom two chambers of her heart. Upon more testing they also found a hole between the top two. The doctors assured Hannah Dulak and Gage Boismenu-Koester (mom & Dad) that these issues could wait 6 months till Jenny got a bit bigger. As stressed as they were, they knew she was in the right place. Then chaos hit. Jennys breathing became labored, she was having issues feeding as well as staying awake. A pic line was inserted, feeding tube and an IV in her tiny head to provide extra nourishment. They quickly found that on top of the two defects in her tiny heart, she also had aortic stenosis. That, couldn't wait 6 months. Jenny would need to be transported via ambulance with her neonatal team to Golisano Children's hospital in Rochester Ny. She would absolutely need surgery on her tiny heart to guarantee survival. Tomorrow, October 11th my grand daughter will take the first, and most important ride of her life..at just over 4.5 lbs to start treatment over an hour from home. Over the past month, Gages employer let him go due to not being able to accommodate his time off needs. Savings have dwindled and they quickly found themselves in deepening debt. Tomorrow starts an extended stay out of town, Gage starts a new job on the 17th and will be commuting back and forth as often as possible. In the meantime, bills and rent charges are growing. The couple hours a day that they can squeeze in door dashing while helping, isn't quite enough. As a family we are doing everything we can to help in every way possible, but recent injuries and illness have made that less doable than normal. If anyone has the opportunity and means to help out, with anything at all.. we would be eternally grateful. No parent should have to chose between the options these 2 have been given. Any funds will be used to provide this new little family with anything they need while Jenny undergoes treatment and recovery. Thank you very much for any help as well as prayers. You are appreciated more than any of us can ever express. If you prefer to send to them directly his handle is Gagebois as alternate method hers is Hannadulak on v-mo
