Hello, I'm Jeannie and I had surgery a little over a week ago for a hysterectomy and was only suppose to be off work a week or 2 and then hoping to return on light duty. 4 days after my hysterectomy I ended up back in the hospital with a mini stroke and blood clot, was admitted a few days then released to go back home, a couple days later I ended up back here at Augusta Health and was admitted. I have had 3 procedures other than my hysterectomy and am now due to have surgery again tomorrow morning for a Hematoma and have been told I will be here for aldeast a few more days and will then go home with a drain tube temporarily. My husband has had to miss work lately due to being here for medical emergencies and I have been playing phone tag with short term disability from my job which will only be a percentage of what my normal income is once I get it figured out. I'm praying we don't fall so far behind we can't get out of and my medical bills continue to go up daily. All of our monthly bills are coning due on July 1st and i have no money to put toward any bills. I'm asking for any help anyone could give. Anything would help. I have just hit a bump in the road and I know God will not put more than I can handle. He has brought me so far in my life and I know he will bring us thru this too.

UPDATE:

Last night was rough, i woke up at 2 am with uncontrollable shakes, fever, high blood pressure and nausea. The shakes and blood pressure finally got better after about 30 minutes, but i kept a fever all night. They came to get me this morning for surgery about 730, while they were doing the surgery for the hematoma they noticed that it had started to leak onto my appendix (which was where the fever was coming from) so they continued with the surgery cleaning out the hematoma and also removed my appendix and placed a draining tube in my stomach

I talked the the doctor this morning and she said she has rarely seen cases like mine. She said once she got me open and seen just how much abcest i had she was in shock. She has no idea how much it had spread and even had to make another incision to get to it all. She told me that if it had been a few years ago with all the infection i had that i would not have make it. She said she firmly believes my strong faith and all the prayers is why im still here today. The spread of the abcest was the cause of having the appendix taken out. my blood work is starting to look good but she still needs me to be monitered a few more days and believes that with everything my body has been thru it will be weeks if not months of recovery. thank you everyone.
