My name is Jermaine Williams, ASL sign name 'JB', pronouns he/him/his, and I also identify as Black, Deaf, and Queer. I am currently residing in the DMV (DC-Maryland-Virginia).
On November 14th, 2024, my life changed forever when I found out that I was diagnosed with sinus and nasal cancer through a mass in my left nostril. In January, I found out that I am stage 4 with treatment available. On February 11th, I started my first round of treatment, which includes chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and being on a chemo-pump for 96 hours. This is 1 of 3 rounds of treatment followed up with a CAT scan. At this time, I am a part-time retail/food employee on leave of absence. This means I have no source of income coming in to support my medical expenses and other needs that I have. If you could donate anything to assist me on my journey, that would be wonderful. My medical team is one of the best in the country, and my loving community has been so supportive, uplifting, and inspiring.
Any questions that arise, you are more than welcome to reach out to me.
I love y'all and would appreciate your support.
Love always,
JB
