Hi, my name is Jayshawn Wright, and I'm reaching out with something that's never been easy for me: asking for help.
The last year has been incredibly difficult. I've been living with ADHD and depression—two things that often go hand in hand and make day-to-day life a steep climb. Simple tasks feel overwhelming, and staying organized enough to keep up with school, work, or even basic responsibilities has been a constant struggle. But I've been trying truly, getting better one day at a time.
This past year, I finally got accepted to college, but the acceptance came late, leaving me unable to apply for most scholarships and grants. The system moved slowly, and by the time I had the green light, most doors for financial help had already closed.
Going to college is a huge step for me, not just for education, but for healing and proving to myself that I can do this.
I'm asking for any help you can give to cover the costs that weren't covered by financial aid—things like textbooks, supplies, and even just transportation and food while I try to get on my feet. Every bit helps, and every kind word reminds me that I'm not alone.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping me take another step forward.
