Good day!! In September of 2023, my sister, Jayne Jackson, suffered a medical emergency in the form of a stroke, particularly a left brain stroke. Her recovery has been ongoing and consistent. One of the main results of her stroke has been aphasia. Aphasia is a disorder that affects a person's ability to understand and express written and spoken language, as well as read and write. People with aphasia may have trouble communicating in daily activities and may feel isolated. Their speech may be jumbled, fragmented, or hard to understand. However, aphasia doesn't affect intelligence or mental alertness. Jayne is alert and sharp; however, at times, she still has trouble communicating.
She had returned to some of her contractual duties but was recently dismissed from her last contract with no prior warning. The purpose of this ask is to give her enough funds to cover her daily expenses over the next three months. I am seeking out all avenues of assistance at this time but thought that this may be a way to support someone who may have been there for many of you and to give us a jump start over anything that may be past due, particularly rent.
Please consider sharing, donating, and if nothing else, PRAYING.
Thank you for your consideration.
