My 19-year-old son, Jayden, was hit by an SUV while riding his electric scooter across the crosswalk. The driver was not paying attention, drove past a red light, and struck him. The accident resulted in an open fracture to his femur, and he needed surgery to repair his leg. Furthermore, the doctors found that his other leg was also broken when trying to get him to walk post-surgery for physical therapy, and he is going to need surgery for that as well. He also developed a pulmonary embolism in his left lung’s lower lobe, requiring blood thinners. He has an irregular heartbeat that is being monitored as well. We are so grateful he’s alive and it wasn’t any worse, but with that being said, paying for hospital bills is never easy and anything will help!
