Hello! My name is Jason Baumgartner and I am the original founder of Pushshift. Unfortunately, I have had some significant challenges after being diagnosed with diabetes. The disease caused a lot of damage to my eyes, leaving me nearly legally blind. Luckily, there is surgery to help restore my vision by replacing both lenses in each of my eyes.

I was hospitalized in late May and have had to deal with significant medical debt while also needing to save funds for my surgeries.

The last few months have been extremely challenging for me since I have had to put a few software projects on hold to focus on my health.

If you have found my past projects helpful and would like to contribute, I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Any funds leftover will be donated to non-profits focused on diabetes research.
