Hello! If you're reading this you probably know me. If you don't, let me explain.... I'm Alex, a 30 year old guy from England.
Unfortunately I was recently hospitalised in the Philippines due to a bad motorcycle accident however I was fortunate enough to get myself home and am being covered financial by our wonderful and excellent NHS so this thankfully is not about me.
Unfortunately as I saw during my stint in a hospital in the Philippines, some people are not as fortunate as me and cannot afford the medical attention they desperately need. Here's where I introduce a hospital roommate named Janice:
Janice was also unfortunately involved in a separate motorcycle incident on the same island where her leg was trapped in between the back wheel and bodywork of the motorcycle. This has caused her multiple painful fractures and a requirement for surgery to fix the bone displacement/fracture and also a large skin graft to replace the lost skin on the back of her legs. This is not a cheap surgery in the Philippines and while some costs are funded by the government, I saw first hand how long it can take to get the necessary medical attention that's needed during my stint in the same ward as her, but even despite the financial and medical pressures she was facing she kept everyone's spirits high with her singing and cheery nature. Janice really needs your help and her family are struggling to meet the costs required for her recovery.
I have a lot of generous friends and since her community and friends took care of me during my stint in hospital it's my turn to try and make a difference for her and her situation and I know we can make a big difference for her with a small amount of money.
Her family owe money for the loan they took to get her the urgent attention she needs. The deadline WAS PAID for her loan thanks to your help!
Unfortunately her situation and circumstances are taking longer than expected to fix and therefore her requirement for financial help has increased as it's taking longer than expected to achieve the surgery she needs. This is all taking a toll financially on her family who are reconsidering taking out a loan again to fund her medication and gauze pads which she has to change daily and these are very costly.
I know I've already asked and been given generously so much already but all I ask from anyone who reads this is a donation of a couple of quid.... Even £1 makes a huge difference with enough people to make a huge difference to her recovery. I think if enough people donate we can reach the target of £1500 she desperately needs but even if we don't make the full amount, ANYTHING towards the bills is such a huge help for her family and I personally would really appreciate the support anyone can offer financially for her. I will ensure 100% of the funds collected go directly to her family and for her recovery as I am in direct contact with them and have already donated £826 raised to her directly.
Please help with whatever we can, not for me, but for a family in desperate need for help for their wonderful cheery daughter!
Thanks in advance everyone. Your help will genuinely make the world of difference!
