Donate to James' Critical Surgery and Recovery

Hello Family and Friends,

We wanted to share an update on James' health. After our visit to the surgeon, we received devastating news. Instead of the anticipated back surgery, James will need a major neck surgery. Without it, he faces the risk of being paralyzed. The surgery will likely happen in the next month or two and will consist of two extensive procedures, each lasting 3-5 hours. He will remain in the hospital for at least five days and then transition to a rehab center. Sadly, James has been told that he will never be able to drive or work again. While there’s no guarantee that this surgery will fix everything, it’s essential to prolong his life.

In light of this, my daughter has had to make the incredibly difficult decision to step down from her teaching position to care for her husband. This has been an overwhelming and emotional journey, especially for James, who has always been the provider and the strongest person I know.

We ask for your prayers and support as we navigate this challenging time. Though this year has broken us, we’re holding onto hope for better days ahead. Thank you for your love and understanding.
