Donate to Jacob's Recovery from Severe Nerve Damage

Jacob Maltinsky is a life-long friend of mine. He's like a brother to me and if you know him, you know he’s loving and selfless. But if you also know him, you know he's often too humble to ask for help. So, I am writing this today to ask for help on behalf of Jake and those who love him by raising some money.
Jacob was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes nearly 20 years ago and unfortunately the disease has now progressed to the point of severe nerve damage. Anyone that has met Jacob knows that he loves playing music and tinkering with the latest photography gear. I have been so happy to see Jacob channel his talents into photography and filming. Lately, he’s found work covering numerous music festivals, a job that requires him to spend long days on his feet. While working long hours shooting multiple festivals, and due to his neuropathy, he developed severe foot ulcers which required surgery in order to prevent gangrene and amputation. He now requires months of rest in order to heal properly and prevent further complications that could easily lead to amputation.
Jacob’s health insurance did cover much of the hospital bills and the immediate financial burden of the injury. However, the slow turning of the bureaucratic machine has delayed any of the disability benefits he is eligible for, so the expenses of follow-up care and the high costs of living have begun to pile up. Jacob is doing what he can to earn some money, but doing so risks his future health. He’s only able to work very limited hours, so please, if you’re able to donate even a small amount, it will go a long way in helping Jacob recover from this injury.
Thank you for helping him get through this very challenging time with messages of love and encouragement, and a contribution to help ease his mind and provide critical recovery. We love you, Jake.
