Jacob’s Hope Fundraiser

Hello everyone! My name is Jasmine and I am starting a fundraiser for the new leukemia diagnosis/journey that my family has begun. I am a mother of two children - Grace and Jacob. My son, Jacob (9), was diagnosed with leukemia on November 3rd after we were admitted to Riley Children’s Hospital from what we thought was a simple “infection” that he just couldn’t seem to kick. A life-changing trip to the ER, to say the least. The super athletic, most social, outgoing, charming little guy seemed to have a “pause” button pushed.

Needless to say, instantly our lives have been flipped.

Coming down from the initial shock of it all and being overwhelmed with so much information, the reality of finances is starting to settle in.

Our lives will now be centered around this diagnosis for a while. Ironically, I have been a private respite caregiver for special needs individuals over the past 15 years. Of course, a diagnosis is not an excuse to companies or to life in general. Bills will still have to be paid (home, car, insurance, utilities, groceries, etc.)… along with all the new prescriptions that are coming along… and just everything else that I’m continuing to learn about.

Honestly, it’s overwhelming to still even think about.

This will be our ongoing fundraiser to complete this journey.
