Hello, my name is Jacob and I am engaged to my fiancée Haley. We unfortunately have been blindsided by our venue for our wedding, the Crystal Ballroom, and their LLC behind them closed both their locations in Clearwater and Tampa. Their “contract” stated that they are not liable for refunds. I have been on the phone with lawyer after lawyer getting free consultations, and they said there is a case, but I would be spending more money on a lawyer than what I would get back.
We have spent $7,159 on this. We have been on the news, we have tried to contact them, and all we get back is an automated email. They refused to do credit cards or debit cards and only wanted cash in hand. We are heartbroken and just downright upset that this has happened. We are set on the date of Nov. 8th and we are looking for any new venues at this point.
Having lost so much money with having to find another venue on top of that is not only frustrating, but makes us angry that we have to spend even more money on a new venue when we aren’t getting our money back from the venue we first booked.
Whatever money we can raise will be used straight towards a new venue! Anything helps. Thank you.
