Hello dear people! Let me tell you about a wonderful lady named Jackie Byers. I met her about 2 years ago in a watercolor class. As it turns out, she is a fabulous artist and the kind of friend that we all need!
But Jackie has a serious health issue. It’s called Moyamoya, which is an incurable brain disease. She has been bravely fighting a scary battle for eleven years now. After several strokes, which caused extensive brain damage, Jackie had to have two life-saving brain surgeries. She survived but lost the ability to speak, read, and write. But Jackie is a force of nature - and with the blessings of God, her family and friends - she has managed to regain some neurological function. She has even learned to create beautiful watercolor paintings!
But, sadly Moyamoya is a progressive disease, and it’s causing Jackie additional serious problems. This time it destroyed the blood supply in her brain that controls her legs. There are very few neurosurgeons who specialize in Moyamoya disease, so Jackie needs to travel to Stanford Hospital in California for another very dangerous brain surgery. In addition to all the medical expenses, Jackie and her husband will have travel expenses and lost wages. All in all this will be very expensive, and Jackie needs our help.
I wish all of you could know Jackie personally! She is warm, generous and loving, the kind of person we all need in our lives. Please help relieve some of the stress and fear that this precious lady is living with by donating any amount you can. You CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE and we appreciate your kind generosity.
If you would, please keep Jackie in your prayers and if you know a prayer group please ask to have her included. Thank you for taking the time to read Jackie’s story and for helping in any way that you can.
