A Fort Collins family is in need of support as they face an incredibly difficult chapter.
Ivonne is a loving Christian mother of three, a devoted wife, and a cherished friend. She is now in hospice care after a sudden decline due to stage 4 cholangiocarcinoma—a cancer of the bile duct.
On May 19th, Ivonne went to the ER with severe abdominal pain. Imaging revealed masses throughout her body, and doctors told her she likely had a year to live.
Ivonne tried to return home after her diagnosis, but her symptoms quickly worsened. She was readmitted to the hospital due to complications from the cancer, including severe pain and the effects of liver dysfunction, which could no longer be managed at home.
Last week, Ivonne began palliative chemotherapy, hopeful that it would give her more time with her family. But shortly after starting treatment, she had a severe reaction and was admitted to the ICU. When doctors shared that there were no further treatment options, Ivonne made the decision to stop aggressive interventions and enter hospice care, surrounded by those she loves most.
Her husband has been at her side every day, unable to work consistently during this incredibly difficult time. The family is doing everything they can to cover the mounting costs of her care while trying to navigate health insurance and end-of-life planning.
We are humbly asking for donations to help relieve the financial burden—including hospital bills, hospice care, and support for her husband. Any contribution, no matter how small, is a blessing. Your support and prayers mean more than we can say.
