Help Us Support Isla’s Fight Against Infantile Spasms.
Hi, my name is Chalcie, and I’m the mother of a beautiful, bright, and strong seven-month-old baby girl named Isla

Recently, Isla was diagnosed with Infantile Spasms, also known as West Syndrome—a rare and serious form of epilepsy that affects babies in their first year of life. These seizures often happen in clusters as she is falling asleep, and although they may appear subtle, each one causes damage to her developing brain. Without the right care and medication, Isla is at risk of severe and permanent developmental regression, especially in areas like speech and motor skills.
Isla deserves the best chance at a full and healthy life. That’s why we are launching this fundraiser with a starting goal of $10,000—to help us cover the urgent and unexpected costs that come with this diagnosis. These include:
- A 3-day hospital stay during her initial diagnosis
- An emergency 70-mile ambulance transport
- A seizure-detecting baby monitor ($320–$450), to alert us to nighttime seizures while we sleep
- Ongoing, vital medications that are essential to her treatment.
Infantile Spasms are a race against time, but with the right tools and support, we can give Isla the care she needs to thrive. Every donation, share, and message of encouragement means the world to our family and brings us one step closer to keeping our little girl safe and healthy.
Thank you for standing with us.
With love and gratitude,
