Hi friends, family, and community,

I am thrilled to share that my son, Lennox Henson, along with two other amazing Schweitzer alumni, Leila Edwards and Elyse Jacinto, have decided to pay it forward by directing Disney’s Beauty & the Beast Jr. at Albert Schweitzer Elementary School for the 2025–2026 school year!

When they were students at Schweitzer, all three were inspired by high school directors Grace Freese and Bella Welter. Now, they’re carrying that tradition forward—creating a magical opportunity for 3rd–5th grade students to step into the world of theater, discover the arts, and experience the joy of performance.

To make this production possible, we’re reaching out to our community for support. Donations will help cover everything that brings a show to life: the official show kit, microphones and sound equipment, set design, costumes, and more. Our vision is to build a sustainable fund so that Schweitzer can continue offering theater for years to come.
