After the custody battle, which cost nearly $20k 4 years ago, I’ve been working to recoup the loss of our emergency savings by cutting costs. Indigo has a lot of medical bills associated with ASD and Asthma. Additional testing is needed to understand the triggers and get him better. Our only vehicle is at a point where it’s not worth it to keep fixing; the costs to repair outweigh the value. It’s difficult to pay for medical testing while our most immediate need is to have a safe way to get around.

I’m hoping to cut more costs where I can and sell crafts to save for a used vehicle. That’ll take time while dealing with Indie’s medical bills.
