Please Help Hurricane Milton Tornado Victim

Prior to June 2023, Ian Landry was a hardworking man who had finally achieved his goal of being a successful, small business owner of Palm Beach Auto Enterprises. For years, Ian worked as an auto mechanic for several local dealerships and before that as a pit crew member in car racing. Ian was always working on a project, whether rebuilding classic cars or making improvements to his newly purchased home. Ian loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and traveling.

In June of 2023, Ian's life changed drastically. He was involved in a single-vehicle rollover crash which left him paralyzed from the neck down. He spent two months in intensive care and two more months in a rehabilitation hospital. During his four months of hospitalization, Ian's greatest dream of having his very own workshop was finally coming true. Ian was proud to have been able to have a 40'x50' shop built on his acreage property. The construction began prior to his accident and was completed just before he was able to come home in October 2023. With the help of friends, Ian moved his prized vehicles - including a Monte Carlo he used to race - into the safety of his new workshop. Ian also stored his prized project vehicles, his Harley Davidson, the truck he used to be able to drive on his own, and the handicapped van he was able to acquire after his accident inside.

Ian has had so many challenges since the accident. He's had to navigate the ins and outs of Marketplace insurance, SSI disability, and Medicaid. He's had to deal with no income since his accident and having to keep up with his expenses without it.

Recently, Hurricane Milton became another obstacle for him after a tornado tore through his backyard and destroyed his prized workshop. Everything inside the workshop was destroyed. Every memory of when he was once an ambulatory and independent man was gone in a matter of a minute.

Ian is fortunate enough to have wonderful neighbors who helped clean up downed trees in his yard and set up a generator for him so he could keep his electric wheelchair charged and his refrigerator cold.

Ian is a good person who is truly down on his luck. Any funds donated will be used for his very expensive, 24-hour care as well as help with cleaning up and removing the remains of his workshop.

On behalf of Ian, I thank you so much for any help you can offer.
