Hunter is 19 years old. When he was 15, he was diagnosed with epilepsy, and he has been having seizures ever since. On Tuesday, October 8, he went into Status Epilepticus, which is back-to-back uncontrollable seizures. He had 11 recorded seizures, one of which lasted 5 minutes. In order to stop the seizures, Hunter was sedated and intubated at St. Luke’s and transferred to the ICU. While being transferred to the ICU and again shortly after, Hunter still experienced multiple seizures. Doctors quickly determined he needed to be life-flighted to Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Hunter has been sedated and intubated since Tuesday up until this morning, when they took him off sedation, but he has yet to wake up. Hunter has a long road to recovery with rehabilitation.

Our mom has been by his bedside since he was hospitalized, causing her to miss work. The expenses of just being able to be down here by his side are already quickly adding up.
