Hello everyone, my name is Kelsey Leger, I grew up alongside Taylor and her sister Sarah. It is with a broken heart that I share the news of the extremely sudden and unexpected passing of their father, Paul Shea of Manomet. Paul passed on October 18, 2025, at the young age of 64. Paul left this world peacefully at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston, with his daughters at his bedside. He is now reunited with his late wife, Josephine Raneri-Shea, who he missed dearly, as well as his brother, parents, and son.
Paul was not only a devoted father to his daughters and their loyal Doberman, Vinny, but he was also a generous friend to many, always willing to help others, no matter his own circumstances. From construction sites in Southie to the beaches of Manomet; It’s not uncommon for an old friends of Paul to refer to him as a “legend” - because of his fearless demeanor, his drive to stand up for others, his outgoing and quirky sense of humor and most of all his selfless character who would do anything for anyone, whether you knew him for 20 years or 20 minutes.
Paul built a successful career as a carpenter and was a proud member of the North Atlantic States Carpenters Union until his retirement in 2022. He treasured his time with family, especially creating beautiful memories with Taylor and Sarah—whether it was nature walks, sledding, or summer days spent lobstering. His love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life, and he ensured that his daughters felt cherished, supported and full of love up until his very last breath.
As his daughters cope with this sudden loss, they are also faced with the unexpected financial challenges in covering the costs of their father's funeral, striving to provide him with the heartfelt tribute he truly deserves. With their Mom (Paul’s wife) passing in 2022, they are navigating this on their own.
Please consider donating to help cover Paul's funeral expenses and support his two daughters during this challenging time.
Let’s unite to honor a man who brought unwavering love and joy to the Manomet/Plymouth community, and show our support for his daughters—an act that would have truly meant the world to him.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
