"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; love leaves a memory no one can steal." I find myself at a loss for words and with a tremendously heavy heart, writing about the death of one of my dearest friends, Amanda Blais, a fantastic mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend. She was 47 years young and leaves behind a large family, including 2 teenage boys and a devoted husband. She was a loving, caring person who also left behind her parents, Leslie and Glen Rosenstrauch, 4 siblings, and their families. Amanda spent most of her adult life in pain, having had severe scoliosis and undergone life-changing surgeries as a teenager. She wanted nothing more in this world than to be a mother, and her dreams were answered 15 years ago with the birth of her first son, Jackson. Only 2 short years later, they had Ozzy. She suffered daily but would do anything for her sons. Her husband, Mike, also suffers from medical problems; between his health and taking care of Amanda and their sons, he hasn't been able to work for the past several years. This makes the financial burden of this tragedy even more devastating. The only thing Amanda ever wanted was for her boys to be taken care of, which is what most mothers want and hope for. All funds received will go directly to the cremation & memorial services. If they are blessed with more than the cost of the services, all remaining funds will be used to take care of those two amazing young men, Jackson & Ozzy.
