My name is Dickyi Tsering, and this April, I will be taking on the 26.2-mile challenge of the 2026 London Marathon.

While I’ve been training hard on the pavement here, I am running for a community that lives and trains on the "roof of the world": the incredible athletes of Jumla, Nepal.

A Journey Fueled by Support

I am deeply honored to have been given the opportunity to run this iconic race, and I owe a huge thank you to Nepal Run UK and Nepal Run USA. Their belief in me has made this dream a reality, and I am proud to represent this global running community on the streets of London.

Preparing for a marathon is a massive undertaking, and it is never a solo effort. I wouldn't be standing at the starting line without the incredible friends and family who have supported me throughout my journey. Your encouragement during long training runs and your belief in me has helped me tremendously—it has given me the strength to push my limits.

Because I have been so fortunate to have this support, I want to pass that opportunity on to others. I want to ensure that talented runners halfway across the world have the same chance to chase their dreams that you all have given me.

The Mission: Why Jumla?

Jumla is a remote, high-altitude region (2,400m+) in Nepal. It is home to some of the most resilient and talented natural runners in the world. Despite their world-class potential, these athletes often lack the basic infrastructure—proper nutrition, safe housing, and training equipment—to compete on a global stage.

I am raising $1000 to support the construction of a permanent High-Altitude Training Center in Jumla.

The Team Behind the Vision

This project is driven by a powerful collective effort. I am proud to support the initiative led by Santosh Rai, the founder of Nepal Run UK, who has been the driving force in bridging the gap between the UK running community and Nepali athletes.

Alongside the legendary Hari Rokaya—a 3-time Everest Marathon champion who has donated his own land for this project—Santosh and the Nepal Run team are turning this dream into a reality. This center is more than just a building; it is a gateway to:

Empowerment: Providing a path to professional sports for young Nepali talent.

Infrastructure: Providing a safe place to sleep, eat, and train.

Community: Boosting the local economy and keeping youth engaged in healthy, positive activities.

How Your Donation Makes a Difference

My goal of $1000 is a vital piece of this larger vision. Your contribution goes directly toward the construction and outfitting of the facility.

$10 can help provide high-calorie nutrition for a trainee.

$25 can contribute to essential running gear and shoes.

$50 helps fund the bricks and mortar of the training facility itself.

Passing It Forward

As a runner, I know that every step counts—and as a donor, every dollar counts. Whether you can give $5 or $50, you are helping me honor the support I’ve received by passing that same opportunity forward to an athlete in Nepal.

Thank you for your kindness, your support, and for being part of this journey with me. Let’s help these athletes reach the podium together!
