Donate to Hemi Ostroski's Cancer Treatment Journey
Let me introduce you to Hemi Ostroski, my son, if you don't already know him. He's 18 years old, a graduate of Westville High School and employed at a local manufacturing plant. He's always been active and locally known at skate parks for his riding skills, along with scooter and skateboarding. If the weather isn't nice enough for that, you'll find him in his dad's shop working on his truck or helping his dad with anything.
Recently we found out that what we thought was a torn rotator cuff in his shoulder is actually Ewing's sarcoma. Ewing sarcoma is a rare bone cancer that, for him, started in right shoulder and became a tumor. Ewing sarcoma affects about 200-250 people a year.
With this diagnosis, Justin and I have had to miss a lot of work. We will continue missing days at work to get him to all of his tests, scans and treatments. Hemi has been told to no longer work due to being a high break risk for his arm. The bills are already coming in.
As we get through this life changing event, I will continually post updates.
As you can imagine, this has been intense so far, and asking for help is hard.
Please consider a donation to help us get through this without the stress of financial hardship.
