Donate to help Zara get back home

My friend was on holiday in Rhodes and last week was involved in a really awful motor accident involving a quad bike.

Zara woke up in hospital the next day with the scary news that her pelvis was broken in 3 places and that she would be unable to take her pre-booked flight home. The medical professionals have advised that the only way to get her home safely and start receiving medical treatment in the UK would be to pay for a special paramedic flight so that her body can remain flat at all times on a secured stretcher. The cost for this as you can imagine is extortionate with the cheapest option costing £17’000. Insurance is only covering the cost of the medical bills for whilst Zara is currently in hospital.

As you can imagine this is a really scary time for my friend who without being able to get back to the UK faces the prospect of being alone in this hospital for 3 months before she will be allowed to take a normal flight home.

The purpose of this appeal is to see if we can get some financial support over to Zara to ideally get her back in the UK but even any amount will help towards ensuring bills are paid at home whilst she is unable to work or so that we can ensure someone is with her at all times. This accident has had such a horrible and painful physical impact on Zara and the stress of the situation is impacting her mental health too. Please, if you are able to send over anything however small it would really really help my lovely friend.
