Zakia is my stepmom who’s been a part of my life since I can remember. She’s 45 years old, a mother to 2 children and a grandmother of 3. She is the wisest, wittiest person I know, and her love knows no bounds.

Zakia fell ill in 2022, after which she underwent some tests that showed a heart condition. The doctors recommend surgery to insert a dual chamber pacemaker at a cost of KES 700,000. We hope she can recover fully after this surgery.
