Zach Losee went to the hospital a little over 2 weeks ago after not feeling well. Since being in the hospital, it was discovered that Zach was dealing with rejection. Zach has been making progress with plasmapheresis and medication management to reverse/stop the rejection.

On the morning of 9/16/25, Zach was walking to read his book on the outdoor patio at the hospital and collapsed. Zach was immediately attended to, assessed, intubated, and placed on ECMO.

At this time, Strong Hospital is not equipped to manage and treat Zach as he is too high risk and is in need of another transplant. Zach, once further assessed and stabilized, will be transported to Columbia Hospital in NYC via Mercy Flight. Zach's mom, Julie, will be traveling with him.
